Distractions feat. Nia Andrews

from Church Deluxe Double Album Bundle by Mark de Clive-Lowe

subscriber exclusive

about

The album closes with a tripped out dubstep-meets-jazz track where the quintet plus guitarist Tim Stewart gets to take full liberty stretching over the main groove, switching to the half-time horn-
led sections and bringing some of that 70s Miles at the Fillmore vibe to a 2014 bass heavy clubnite somewhere in east London. Half way through the track abruptly flips to a downtempo acoustic soul vibe with Tivon Pennicott on flute and Nia Andrews bringing lyrics to the moment, preaching to us the risk of ‘Distractions’ and the renewed hope of it never being too late…
