The Nonsemble we received an alert that the maestro, Mark de Clive-Lowe had a new release avaialble and we immediately clicked in to make that purchase... as one does.

Mark is consistent enough - in all of his chosen genres - that ome can pretty much join his "1,000 Fans" list - supporting every release and show that we can - without a worry in the world.

This collection of B-Sides, Re-Works and Collabs is an extension of an older release and with the amount of work and prolific output MdCL has goimg on regularly - another few of these collections are probably in the chamber and ready for action!

Meanwhile, as we await the early 2019 release of his HERITAGE LP, this is a way to make sure that we [and Mashi] are covered in the meanwhile.

Of course - as longtime followers and fans - we have collected a few of these hotshots over the years.... always great to re-up.

Favorite Track? Let's go with Mark and another favorite, Ms. BEMBE SEGUE as they run through a delightful re-version of Naima. A version track that has checked all the right boxes for us since the original release of Mashi and Bembe's take - way back when.

As they used to say back in the day:
"PICK-IT-UP-PICK-IT-UP-PICK-IT-UP!!!"

about

"Mark de Clive-Lowe's b-sides and one-offs are better than most artists' touchstone releases." - 5 Magazine

Originally released in as a 5 track EP early 2011, we've reissued Leaving this Planet as a full length compilation of MdCL productions, collaborations, one-offs, B-sides and remixes with additional bonus content including collaborations with Rasiyah, Rahel, Bembe Segue and Cherie Mathieson's Games We Play sees its digital debut.

Jazz, downtempo, broken-beat, afro-broken and more also featuring three covers paying tribute to past legends - John Coltrane's timeless Naima with Bembe Segue on vocals; Gene Harris' Koko and Lee Roe (complete with vocal chorus of Tawiah, Bembe Segue, Ovasoul7 and Nia Andrews!) and third up, Charles Earland's Leaving this Planet - reworked with Sharlene Hector on microphone.
