Bread & Souls is a new project dreamt up by Italian entrepreneur and music lover Franco Fusari. Franco invited Mark de Clive-Lowe on board to direct and produce an album of collaborations with some of our favorite artists including the likes of Bembé Segué, Vanessa Freeman, Paul Randolph, Rich Medina, Tommaso Cappellato and more. Under the banner of Bread & Souls: A Family Gathering, the 8 originals and 6 remixes (by some very special extended family) are being released as four separate consecutive chapters on limited edition vinyl, digital and streaming platforms.

This Chapter 1 EP opens with the jazz-breaks anchored ‘Anybody Out There’ - for OG fans, a long-awaited reunion between MdCL and Bembe Segue, along with Vanessa Freeman for the epic UK underground jazz-soul front line. Incidentally, this is the first time Bembe and Vanessa have appeared on a track together - long overdue and quintessential! ‘Find the Beauty’ featuring Detroit’s Paul Randolph saw ltd edition 7” release late last year and brings the 80s boogie-soul flavors to the EP and we wrap up with one of the unsung heroes of broken beat, Domu, delivering a mid-tempo dance floor banger remixing ‘Little Did I Know’ (the original version of which will be forthcoming on an upcoming Family Gathering installment).
